Late 4th age RP (P1 of hopefully several)

Standard quasi-sandbox RP set in the late 4th age. Humans have now built nations across middle earth although the Re-United kingdom (Now dubbed the Evendim Empire) has now somewhat declinedwith control over northern Gondor, the Shire (nominally) and the area around the Greenway up to Fornost (the land south of the Isen linking the two regions. Rohan has lost east emmet and the Wold to a newly invigorated Fangornbut has expanded eastward towards Mordor taking Emyn Muil. Mordor is now divided into several parts, Gormîr (the plains of Gorgoroth) home to the somewhat less abhorrent descendants of the Mordor Uruks. Rotarland, technically a region of Gormîr but populated by a number of Gondorians, dwarves and the increasingly intelligent children of ungoliant. Their Capital at Minas Morgul and led by a mysterious spirit some even say is the Great Spider Shelob herself. The Majority of Nurnen, now belongs to the indigenous or captured slaves of that were kept in the region by Sauron.

Although the Eldar left for Aman or died many years ago the peoples of Mirkwood and the Avari are thriving, having expanded their territories to Fangorn and have even begun to resettle Lothlorien and Rivendell.

The Dwarves, following the remarkably fast evolution of more friendly orcish groups have begun to expand their holds. The Kingdoms of Khazadûm and Urukdel are home to some of the richest people in Middle Earth, as well as some of the poorest among it's miners, mushroom cultivators and labour gangs. At this point I will shut up and let everyone fill it in with their own stuff but hopefully this late 4th age stuff will soon be detailed enough for adventure RPs as well.

Shadowfell, part one.

To kickstart my new canon, I bring to you my next RP. To make clear, this is in its own universe of connected RPs, with no connection to the wiki canon. All members are encouraged to keep their characters or change them up. But if they are the same, I do ask that you change histories and relationships. Characters will be developed through the series so don't feel the need to rewrite your character or make a new history already. Arda Divided

The Fourth Age is in infancy, less than 50 years into the new age, King Elessar and his heir were assassinated during a trip to Dorwinion by means unknown. Elessar's grandson Ecthelion takes the throne at age 19 and his reign seems destined for war. Despite the grand advisory of his loyal councillor, the aging Prince Imrahil. To the West in Enedwaith, savage tribes lead by an unknown man have conquered Dunland, in the former lands of the High Elves, a group of exiled Arnorians plan to sweep the lands they were forced out of, the Shire has become disturbed as the halflings prepare to conquer Arnor, as foolish the prospect is. In the Misty Mountains orcs once again explore freely, Anduin and Lorien have fallen to those same orcs and the Woodland Realm prepares for war with Dale after an embargo. The Dwarves prepare to retake Moria united under Erebor and in the East the Easterlings once more prepare to sweep Gondor. Umbar has escaped the kingdom of Gondor and now raids Dol Amroth, the Haradrim are in full revolt and the Moredain are at war with the once again united Tauredain Empire. The Fellowship of the Ring RP (Reboot)

Long ago, on the old wiki, a user named JoetheBladeMaster made an RP based around The Fellowship of the Ring. In fact, it was my first RP. Being one of my favorite classics, it inspired me to make my own reboot on this wiki, and by some miracle, became one of the longest running RPs on the wiki. Unfortunately, there came a time when I left the wiki, and the RP came to a standstill. However, with my return, and some discussion, it has been decided that the RP will be rebooted once more. <hr>Frodo Baggins of the Shire has brought the ring to Rivendell. Lord Elrond has called forth a secret council, to form a Fellowship of the Ring. Nine members will be chosen, and one of them must bear the One Ring to Mount Doom, and destroy it before Sauron can reclaim it, and gain dominion over Middle-earth... Character Template: DISCLAIMER: As of now, the fellowship is full. Anyone can be an external character so long as it fits the rules stated below. Rules: 
The first nine members of the RP will be a member of the fellowship. Someone will be the ringbearer, and we will have a vote. If you do not want to be an option for the poll, you can state so when making your profile. You don't have to take the same path as in the book. If you want, you can break the fellowship so long as it makes sense for the breaking to occur. Anybody who joins the RP later on can act as a major character outside of the fellowship. Anybody can have a canon character intervene, but you cannot have your primary character be a canon character. You can only have one character. You may also make a reference to any other characters you have when appropriate. You know the usual RP rules, follow them and everything will work out. Have fun!

War of the Ring

So Imrahil and I have decided to host a War of the Ring RP together. Custom facs allowed except any with holdings that obviously contradict the War of the Ring, example being if someone had a faction that ruled Umbar that was not Umbar. No metagaming, godmodding etc. y'know the standard and just to be very clear on this, no using knowledge of lore to try and intercept the Fellowship if you're evil. If the Fellowship gets by will be a system of pure luck and no members of the Fellowship will be playable except Aragorn, Frodo and Sam. Anyone not picked up shall be controlled by me if evil or Imrahil if good Gollum is not playable. Ok now to the fun stuff! The fellowship has been sent off with little knowledge to the forces of the Dark Lord, the hour is late and the shadow creeps over the lands of Gondor. When The Night Has Fallen

It's been night for five years now. In the year 125 of the Fourth Age, Eldarion had settled into his rule over Gondor, and was doing quite a good job of it. Theoden II, the King of Rohan, had annexed the southern half of Dunland, and seemed to be a fairly militaristic king - a great warrior. Thorin Stonehelm prospered from the Iron Hills, and a chieftain of the Woodmen of Mirkwood, calling himself Gerris of Northmarch, had declared himself High King of the Vale, with little opposition. Dale and Dorwinion both opened trade routes with the Rhunaerim. The North remained wild, apart from the cities, which were vassals of Eldarion of Gondor. Then, the sun went down. It did not come back up. People were confused. Then they panicked. Then they tried to fix it, and failed. Now they've accepted it. But what if it could be reversed? A self-announced prophet has arrived in the city of Pelargir, and has been wandering the streets and docks, preaching about how heroes and warriors are required to bring back the dawn. He is currently sitting by the docks, staring out into the distance. You know where this is going. Name: Altyr Title/Nickname: The Red Gender: Male Age: 27 Race: Mostly Numenorean Physical Description: 6'5, somewhat slim, shoulder-length black hair and beard, hazel eyes, extremely pale skin from lack of sun. Personality: Proud and somewhat vain, but intelligent and a great fighter. Loyal to his friends. Weapons: Mithril longsword with moonstone set in the hilt. On the blade, inscribed in indecipherable runes, is 'Ithicarion'. Armor: Long blood-red cloak. Black tunic, red breeches, and black leather boots. He wears a shining steel chainmail shirt over his tunic, and when he wears a helmet, it has blood-red feathers in its top.

Plague RP

Sunsets over the Darkened and Pestilent Middle Earth at the end of the Fifth age. A plague of mysterious origin has swept through Rhun and Middle Earth alike (South Harad is in turmoil). The populations of the various nations of the 3241st year of the fifth age are eperiencing hardship not encountered for two ages. The last of the Arcane Physicians Galad Windlebard has requested your personal aid in finding the cause of this malady, and maybe, finding a cure. It's less of Factions which are there but which aren't (since LOTR has very few nation states) the RK has dissolved into many seperate nations each now a country in their own right. Nearly every mountain range in middle earth is now the home of a dwarven civilisation many of which have endured for thousands of years now. Because of the plague the Dwarves have once again closed their gates and withdrawn from the world. whilst the vestiges of the Eldar are now all but gone the other, less fortunate groups of elves have flourished. Mirkwood now houses a large elven nation and the remaining ents of Middle Earth (these have been part of the entish cycle of Ent to tree to huorn to ent several times now). New Thread! Continue RPing as usual. <hr>Replies: @Chaz "I have raised him as my own son. His secret is known to few, only to me, and my closest Servants, as well as a few compatriots who don't feel to kindly about the Gondorian occupation. Very soon now, our plans will come to fruition. Far to the south, mercenaries are being gathered, sellswords are flocking to the Serpent-banner. Soon, very soon now, we will be ready. And the Gondorians will rue the day they crossed the Harnen, and will face the full wrath of the Harad, as revenge for their slaughter twenty years ago." @Shade It did, but the riflemen now retreated back behind the swordsman, who Have formed a prinitive shield-wall. They aren't impervious to assault. @Dragon The ships fire back in response, using flaming arrows. The Umbarian ships are holding, and are defending themselves with superior firepower from their enemies.

The Fiefdoms RP (Part II)

Dark times have fallen upon Gondor. King Aragost, Aragorn's grandson, rules the Kingdom of Gondor with an iron fist. Taxes are high, foreign wars are being fought to seize more land, and the self-styled "Emperor of Gondor" oppresses his people, publicly executing those who question his rule. The King called a council for all the lords of the Fiefdoms to convene. There, he tripled taxes, and prepared for a conquest of Dale and Erebor to fill the empty coffers of Gondor. There, the Lord of Nurn had a confrontation with the King, after which he was thrown into prison and all his guards massacred. The Lord of Pelargir, however, helped the Lord of Nurn escape from his dungeon, and flee the city. The Lord of Anorien is in open rebellion, preparing for war. The Lord of Anfalas is almost in outright revolt, preparing to stand against the might of Gondor. Meanwhile, a new power is rising in the East. Raiders from Khand are ambushing caravans and attacking, then disappearing into the desert, led by a new fierce warlord. Tensions are high, and the Realm braces for a conflict that could tear Gondor apart. The King is slowly going mad, becoming increasingly paranoid. Armies from all over the Empire are being gathered to him. Who will rise, and who will fall? Find out in The Fiefdoms RP. <hr>This is a new thread, because the old one was getting long. The Fiefdoms RP

The Reunited Kingdom had a bright start. Once Aragorn assumed the throne, the Reunited Kingdom conquered all of Gondor’s ancestral lands and entered into a peaceful union with Nurn and the Kingdom of the White Mountains. Elessar’s reign was long and prosperous, and the people tried to repair all the damage Sauron had done. King Eldarion’s reign was similarly prosperous. A wise scholar-king, versed in Elvish lore, Eldarion led the Reunited Kingdom to it’s greatest height. However, late in his reign, dissent spread throughout Gondor. The southern Kingdom, Gondor, decided to split from Arnor, as they felt under-represented by the King, who dwelt in the North and was mostly concerned with northern affairs. With little choice in the matter, as he feared a violent uprising, King Eldarion allowed the Kingdom of Gondor to exit the Reunited Kingdom, which now only consisted of the lands of Arnor. The Kingdom of Gondor, led by the younger son of Eldarion, Aragost. Aragost’s reign started out full of promise for the newly independent Gondor. Aragost’s rule was iron-fisted, he did not tolerate any dissent and he cracked down on any that doubted his leadership. After a dispute with the Rohirrim, who refused to join in a union with the Gondorian crown, Aragost declared war, burning Edoras to the ground, absorbing the Westfold and Eastern Rohan into Gondor, and establishing a Rohan puppet-state in the north who paid tribute to Gondor. Since then Aragost has expanded the Gondorian frontier to the south, utterly destroying the remaining Kingdoms of the Haradrim. These wars have made Gondor wealthy, but Aragost thirsts for more. Meanwhile, his reign at home was extremely harsh. Most of the common Gondorians never saw a penny of the money the foreign wars brought, and if any man, noble or peasant, protested against Aragost’s rule, he was swiftly and publicly put to death. The Fiefdoms are itching for independance, to be rid of the ‘Gondorian Tyrant’ as some of them name him. Tensions are rising, and the future of the once-great Kingdom of Gondor is in doubt… - ---- 'MAP OF THE FIEFDOMS'

Anorien: Anorien is a wealthy and populous region to the north of Minas Tirith. The rulers of Anorien hold the hereditary title of ‘Lord of Anorien’, and rule out of their strong castle of ‘Tir Elena’. The Lords of Anorien have a reputation for being conservative and traditional. Anorien has absorbed south-east Rohan into their domain. Due to their fertility and extremely high population, they are both rich and one of the greatest fiefs in terms of military.
Ithillien: One of the smaller and poorer fiefs, nevertheless Ithillien has a strong military force in the elite Rangers. The rulers of Ithillien hold the title of ‘Lord of Ithillien’. Ithillien has a strong military tradition, and has a constant watch on Mordor’s borders. The Lord of Ithillien rules out of the island-fortress of Cair Andros.
Lebennin: A large and wealthy fief, Lebennin, or the Land of the Five Streams is the breadbasket of Gondor. One of the most fertile lands in all of Gondor, Lebennin is composed mostly of farmers. Their military strength is moderate, they have little need to defend their verdant and peaceful land. In times of need, they can call upon the axe-warriors of Lossararch and feudal levies. Dol Amroth: Perhaps the strongest fief in Gondor, Dol Amroth also known as Belfalas, as well as ‘Dor en Ernil’, or the ‘Land of the Prince’, remains rooted in Numenorean tradition. The rulers of Belfalas hold the title “Prince of Dol Amroth”, and rule out of the great citadel of Tirith Aear. The lands of Belfalas are vast and fair, and the people remain valiant. The Swan-Knights, the famed cavalry of Belfalas, remain unparalleled. Claimed by High Prince Imrahil
Anfalas: Anfalas is a large fief, but the rocky land of Anfalas is little suitable for farming, and is sparsely peopled. The ruler of Anfalas is known as the ‘Lord of Anfalas’. They have a small militia to defend against any pirates that attack the villages on the coast.
Aglarond: The Glittering Caves, also known as the Aglarond, are one of the most unique fiefs. Aglarond was once a Dwarven colony in Helm’s Deep, but as the years went by Aglarond decided to enter into a unity with Gondor. Aglarond has a strong military and economy mostly based off of mining. The dwarven rulers of Aglarond hold the title of “Lord of the Aglarond”. The Lords of Aglarond also hold the Vale of Isengard and have a military presence there. Claimed by Auraestus
Nurn: The descendants of both Sauron’s slaves and the native people, Nurn is a loosely affiliated ‘Protectorate’ of Gondor. It’s people have a friendly but militaristic culture, not kindly remembering the days of their slavery and wishing to retain their freedom. They have a moderate economy from their farming, as well as a good military. Claimed by Argali1
Pelargir: Classified as a ‘Free City’, with enough autonomy to be it’s own fiefdom, Pelargir is a cosmopolitan hub of Gondor. Only rivaled by the cities of Minas Tirith, Osgilliath and Dol Amroth, Pelargir is the center of Gondorian trade and wields great economic power comprable to Anorien or Dorwinion, as well as having a small, but elite military of city guards, as well as a navy only surpassed by the royal navy. Lamedon: A small fief which includes the Blackroot Vale. A small northerly fiefdom, their people are few, but hardy. Their economy is small, as is their population, but can field legions of powerful bowmen and axemen,

(If anybody wishes to take other regions then the ones named above, ask me and I might be able to incorporate your region of choosing) Other areas of Gondorian control are ‘The Province of Calenardhon’, the ‘Province of Near Harad’, the ‘Province of Umbar’ and the ‘Eastern Provinces’, which are tributaries to Gondor that pledge to send troops and money if needed. The Pelennor Fields, Minas Tirith, and Osgiliath are directly administered by the King. ---- These are some claimable major positions within the Gondorian Court, that may be taken along with a position above (i.e. you can be both the Lord of Lebenin and the High Admiral) The Steward of Gondor: The chief advisor of the King. The King may often command orders, but it is most often the Steward that sees them through. Numenorean Civil War RP (Rated R)

</nav><h1>Premise</h1> It is the Fourth Age. Ellesar's descendents have brought all Numenorean descendents into the Reunited Kingdom, as well as the Northwestern regions of Harad, what was once Mordor and some of the Western reaches of Rhûn. The Reunited Kingdom is championed for the defeat of Sauron, and the Crusades that conquered large swaths of the Haradic desert. Despite this, however, it's sense of justice is fading. King Ciryatan is foolish and inexperienced, his government is corrupt and his expansionist policies have the people very upset. In an effort to exert superiority over the supposedly "inferior" men, he has imposed martial law in all of his holdings that are not in Arnor or Gondor, without realizing that he is becoming the very thing his ancestors died for. The men of Núrn are, ironically enough, being re-enslaved, and the honest citizens of Reunited Harad are no longer trusted. While Ciryatan spends the people's taxes on gaining wealth and probing the Northern fringes of Far-Harad with military campaigns, the people are growing restless with their failed government. Even some of Gondor's fiefdoms are growing weary. Will you risk it all in the persuit of freedom, or stay a good and loyal citizen of the Crown?

Naval battles have changed quite a bit since the War of the Ring, being more reminiscent of the Golden Age of Piracy. Weapons pertaining to gunpowder are far more common on sea than on land.

Nuff said, but a bit of a recap Gazash has been tasked with investigating a note Yangji has fought off muggers in Pelargir Coaxatl just saved a woman from a mugger and possible rapist Galahad has been insulted by a couple of extortionists Arahad has just finished a game of poker with an Pelargir crime boss "Big Boy" Ohtar has just finished the public execution of gang members Azruben is searching through a crowd for a pickpocket Celepharn has been partnered with Gazash to investigate Eredan has been searching for evidence to convict Osgiliath slumlord, Lucious Peter Alqua is waiting for a shipment of narcotics to come into the harbor Auraestus has expressed interest but hasn't made a character Marius Maximus has been instructed to deal with the Dol Amroth situation 'by any means necessary' but he cannot make his affiliation with the government known Zane is aboard a ship about to dock in Amroth, little does he know there is a large narcotics shipment stowed aboard (P.S. Aramir, are you going to RP as two or just forget about one of your guys?) <hr>I already have the story planned out and I have a free scedule, the only reason for the delay is so I can see who is going to RP/quit/join. I pass a land of snow and ice to roll 'gainst death's loaded dice I pass the ancient orcish delves and the cities of shadowed elves I pass beneatht the wolf's head and alas, farewell my life's thread -Journey to the Garden -anon - won the RK worst poetry award three times in a row BOOM Grushnashk-Ardashk RP right here it'll be a weird mixture of a sandbox and adventure RP and hopefully be quite entertainging (in a nice way y'know). Legends of the Garden have been on the edge of perception since the beginning of the Second Age but not until after the end of the war of the ring did anyone attribute any merit to this tale to scare children (excluding an anonymous poet who began to reveal his name to the assembled listeners at his recital but was fortunately bombarded with rotten fruit until unconscious). Now with too many swords and dramatic set pieces heroes, villains, kingdoms and random idiots with nothing better to do turn their eyes northward (unless they're looking south in which case they turn around first)

And Through the Woods.. (An Exploration RP)

You wake up on a cold, hard ground. The sun is shining on you, and the grass is tickling your face. You sit up to find you've awoken in a small clearing, around which is a large, thick, rough forest - almost junglelike in look. Interesting.. Where are you? Dunland? It looks like a less populated version of Dunland. Looking around, you see others. Comrades. Enemies. Some you don't know. You've all woken up in the same clearing. Looks like you'll need to work together to find your way out. This Roleplay is going to have lots of treasure, fighting, exploration, and meeting new characters. It's one of those 'fear of the unknown' RPs I like to make - Like Drown, or Treasure Hunters. No godmodding and no metagaming. No tardis effect. Name: Race: Age: Appearance: Backstory: Personality: Belongings: This RP is rated R for lots of violence, alcohol, and sexual references. I, personally, won't use harsh language. You can if you like.

Fourth Age 32: The Year Arda Turned Upside-down

The thirty-first year of the Fourth Age had several notable events. King Eomer had his last son; and there was much rejoicing. The old ex-Emperor Sextus finally kicked the bucket in the Imperial penal colony he had been sent to govern; and there was much rejoicing among the prisoners. A massive earthquake damaged some of the Dwarven cities in the Ered Luin. The Avari began to filter out of the continent in greater numbers; but they remained largely isolationist. But on the very eve of the thirty-second anniversary of Sauron's fall, a bizarre creature with an armored hide which floated in the air and made strange noises appeared in the lands surrounding Lamedon, causing many of the inhabitants to flee the region in fear. Now, the Atmoran Emperor Deximus is asking several individuals to come to his capital as soon as possible.
