I have to say, ive looked around on the TES Sandbox a btit, and I am impressed on the level of organization among other things. I am planning to model this wiki to make it... well more like yours. I was wondering if you could help me a bit in this initiative. Do you copy?
I've been trying that for quite a while now (see my proposals on staff colours, seperate charafter articles and categories), but someone with your influence would probably be able to do it better. Thanks for taking the time to look at it, and yes, I'll do anything I can to help.
I wanted to propose another change soon too that involves canons
Thats exactly what I was going to ask you about. Some of the changes you were proposng (namely, staff colors), I just don't think fir in with the spirit of the wiki. Gradual change is the only thing that wll work. So, yes, what about the cannons?
I like it alot, actualy, especialy the canons. Although, I fear if I introduce all these changes at once, they will not be accepted. So the pages initiative comes first, then the canons and other methods of organization.
How do you create a category? Also, how do you get a quote-template thing?
(Also, by the way, thanks for helping out with the pages. I thought I would have to do it by myself :P)
Quote template thing? You mean this?
And it's easy creating a category. At the bottom of the article you have a small slim rectangle and when you create a page it'll say "Categories: " . Just click on add Categories and create a category (that doesn't exist yet, obv.) . After you press the "Save" button you click on the new category you just created and it will redirect you to a category oage. At the above left corner of the article it will say "create category". I think you got it from there.
(Question: What Tolkien books have you read? Just wondering, as I want to know if you can help me with actualy making this wiki have pages and such)
Well, unfortunately only two. I have recently read a great deal of Fellowship of the Ring and the first book of the hobbit a long time ago, but I am no lore nut and not all too knowledgable as some people here on the wiki about Lord of the Rings' lore. I'd love to have some extra time in between school and such to read the Silmarillion or the other books I haven't read yet, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to any time soon.
If you could create 2 character pages for me with the set category basics I would be truly grateful. I would myself but I'm on mobile and it goes sack when I try to make pages. The names are Annatar the Blue and Oryis.
Nice to meet you. The name's Imrahil Alqua, and I'm and admin here. I do a lot of Dol Amroth lore and roleplay. If you have any questions about me or this wiki, feel free to ask! Sorry, I'm normally much more active here, but I've been busy.
Welcome to the wiki! I first arrived back in October but I haven't been o nrecently, so my apologies for not greeting you earlier! It's really nice to have another experienced RPer. If you need any backround info just let me know.
I have only one character on one Rp so far, called Johan. But I am currently also busy proposing some new things that concern the wiki's mainspace, categories and format, so I have not entirely worked him out.
Perhaps some people have already said this to you, but hello and welcome. I hope you have an enjoyable stay here. If you havent noticed, we are a really close knit community, but it is always nice to have new people
